Hurricane Hero is a game for entertainment and learning. Gameplay uses simplified, physics-inspired weather rules and fictional city defenses. The history archive follows recorded storm tracks. The game does not provide weather forecasts, warnings, or emergency advice.
Easy defaults with optional Normal and Hard, separate difficulty records, city discovery cards and passport stamps, difficulty-aware sharing, a visual guide to all six weather missiles, landing music with saved mute, and transparent city labels that fade after three seconds.
The game requests music on its region screen. If your browser blocks autoplay, tap once to begin. The music toggle remembers your choice; audio stops when the app is in the background or a full-screen ad is showing.
Core gameplay, tutorial missions, and historical tracks are bundled in the iPhone app. Purchases, advertising, sharing through online services, and opening external source links require an internet connection.
Share a score card or a challenge link from the game. Arcade links carry the region, layout seed, difficulty, and score to beat, so friends can try the same challenge. Difficulty records and city discoveries are saved on the current device; the game does not currently have a global online leaderboard.
Ten selected tropical cyclones, including Katrina, Harvey, Maria, Galveston, Bhola, Nargis, Haiyan, Tip, Patricia, and Tracy. The archive contains 465 track observations from storms spanning 1900 to 2017, with historical context and links to sources.
