A little help.

Make your first word

Tap letters in order, then Find. You can also connect letters with a swipe. Each letter tile can be used once per word. Find four target words to finish a puzzle; four different puzzles in a destination earn its postcard.

Undo and clues are free. There is no timer. For easier reading, open the Word Porch menu and turn on Large text or Quiet motion. More settings includes letter layouts and sound controls.

Points and free practice

In the current game, each normal Find submission costs one point, whether correct or wrong. Undo, editing, and hints are free. Practice replays are free and do not earn new city progress or score.

Tap your point balance for daily rewards, available point packs, or an optional rewarded video. Daily visits and streaks can add points. At zero, choose Practice free. A puzzle gift shares a challenge, not a point balance.

Purchases and restoration

Destination packs are one-time purchases. Point packs are consumables. Apple’s confirmation sheet shows the available product and localized price. If a product is unavailable or awaiting approval, it cannot be purchased; do not keep trying to buy a pack you already own.

For a missing destination pack, connect to the internet, use the same Apple Account that bought it, then open Word Porch → More settings → Restore purchases. This checks eligible pack ownership. It does not refill used points or synchronize device balances.

If a completed point purchase is missing, reopen the app with an internet connection to let unfinished transactions be checked. If it is still missing, email us with the product, approximate purchase time, app version, and any error message. We can request a redacted receipt if needed. Please do not send account passwords or full payment details.

Saved progress and backups

Your progress stays on your device. Before changing devices or removing the app, open Word Porch → More settings → Back up progress → Save backup. Use Open backup to import a compatible Word Porch file. Importing replaces puzzle progress, so save the current progress first.

Backups include puzzles, postcards, and settings. They do not transfer points, scores, or purchase ownership. Restore eligible packs separately through Apple. There is no automatic cloud sync, and we cannot recover a local save we do not hold.

For a display or loading problem, try reopening the app and checking for an update first. Avoid clearing app or website data as a troubleshooting step until you have backed up what you can.

Postcards and puzzle codes

Open an earned postcard to save or share it. Score and gift cards can include a greeting and a free puzzle code. A recipient can enter the printed code in Word Porch; a direct link may depend on access to its host, and some direct premium challenges require the matching pack.

On iPhone and iPad, use the system share sheet to choose a recipient or save location. If sharing fails, try again and check the destination app’s permissions or storage. Nothing is sent automatically.

Ads and privacy choices

Free native play can show banners and automatic ads at game breaks. A verified destination-pack purchase removes those formats; rewarded videos remain optional. Videos need a connection and available inventory. If a video is unavailable, try Reload videos in Your points, or use free practice.

When available, open Word Porch → More settings → Privacy choices to review the consent options offered for your region. See the advertising privacy details. Where to get the game

Working public download links will appear on the Word Porch home page when available. Some versions may be limited to testing, and store products may vary by region. The web page’s free sample puzzle works without a download.
